Sound Design and Harmony
- Design 3-5 pad, lead, or key sounds using Operator.
- Pay attention to the range each sounds works best within.
- Once you have a few sounds that you like, write a four or eight bar chord progression.
- Write a beat for it or play it overtop a previous beat you’ve written.
If a chord progression comes easily, try writing an alternate section. Try using one of your other sounds for supporting instrumentation. Feel free to have different instruments play the same chord progression in different sections or the same section.
Finally, arrange your piece with at least four distinct scenes in session view.
